What is the Gospel?
The Gospel is Good News (euangelion)
about how God has provided salvation
(right standing with Him)
through Jesus Christ (God the Son),
by what Jesus fully accomplished on the cross,
which we have given to us freely
through faith in Jesus.
*God created us to be in a loving relationship with Him
**Due to sin, which is rebellion against God,
we broke our relationship with God.
***God, out of His love, sent His eternal Son, Jesus,
who became fully human while remaining fully God.
****Jesus died on the cross in our place, as our substitute,
taking our sin and paying fully the penalty of our sin.
*****Jesus rose physically from the dead,
serving as a testimony that He accomplished His mission.
